Africa's food ecosystem is at an inflection point. The continent holds extraordinary agricultural potential and one of the world's richest culinary heritages, yet its food story remains underrepresented in global conversations. That is changing. African food is entering the mainstream in restaurants, in retail, in policy, and in cultural dialogue. London is home to over 1.5 million people of African heritage, a thriving African restaurant and food culture scene, and institutional networks spanning government, development finance, and creative industries, it is where Africa's food leadership meets global reach. AFSE UK 2026 is where that leadership convenes.
